The Rise and Fall of Dorian Y
a movie by Chris Minz * edited and additional direction by Kyree Vibrant
The film follows Dorian Y, a performance artist who accidentally had a pop hit with a bizarre song no one could explain—but everyone seemed to love. Riding that wave, Dorian Y decides to make a feature film about his rather personal obsession with undersea creatures. But the twist? The editor goes rogue—cuts the film in a way that exposes Dorian Y’s obsessions, making him look like something far less noble. And that version of the film becomes a breakout festival darling, forcing Dorian Y to face his fractured vision of himself as an artist.
It’s hilarious. It’s uncomfortable. Its weird. And it’s pure Chris Minz.
